I just hope RHL's archived everything up to date or she (or the next poster of the new thread) will have a lot of trouble.

Re: Shippingitp IV: Flattery Will Get You EVERYWHERE
Yeah. Going back through the thread to archive the umpteen thousand ships for the next thread would not be fun. Umm..
I guess I'll do it though, if anyone feels like letting me have the next thread/assuming I am here when the next thread pops up. Of course, one of two things will result from this. Either it gets updated all the time because I obsess about it, or it never gets updated because I get distracted and forget.I used to do LP's. Currently archived here:

Re: Shippingitp IV: Flattery Will Get You EVERYWHERE
Ok. I got my cast of characters.
Crazy Cristo
starring Cristo; DK, LIBM,Destro, Draken, Wolfbane, and Magtok mentioned
Spoiler
Back In Cristo's childhood...
Cristo sat alone on the park bench. He was crying and sniffling. The cold winter wind snapped at him, making him shiver. His cheecks and nose were red from the cold.
Other children had pointed and laughed at him, calling him names, they espcially loved calling him Crazy Cristo.
Cristo didn't like being called that. It hurt his feelings. He sniffled again. They were always so mean to him, because he liked to dream big. He had grand dreams, dreams that he wished to accomplish someday.
Dreams of building a giant chocolate factory in this small little town. There was only one problem. Poor little Cristo was allergic to chocolate. Even the tiniest amount made him very ill.
Everyone aslo laughed at Cristo and his ideas. A chocolate factory ran by a man who couldn't even eat chocolate was preposterous to them.
Cristo didn't give up on his dreams though. Somewhere, in the very back of his mind, he knew he would build his chocolate factory. Then he would laugh at them.
But Cristo's life became worse. The bullying at school got even worse then usual. Dirk Kris taunted him and enjoyed making songs about him. Like how he had cooties and he smelled. Lyinginbedmon and Destro enjoyed playing pranks on him, and even managed to get Cristo's tongue stuck to a pole last winter. Draken always wanted Cristo's help in hurting or breaking stuff while Wolfbane tried to make him to good stuff and help the poor and homeless.
At home, Cristo's life was no better. His father, Magtok, wanted him to become an evil overlord much like himself, and succeed where he had failed so many times.
But Cristo didn't want to be an evil overlord. He just wanted to build his chocolate factory. So the months passed, and turned into years. The bullying got worse, as did his father's expectations. In the end, Cristo ran away from home.
Up until recently...
The Present...
Cristo walked along the halls of his giant chocolate factory, a smug look on his face. He was about to do the grand opening for his chocolate factory. In his hand, he held five Crazy Cristo Chocolate Bars. Inside each bar was a golden ticket.
He walked outside into the crisp cold air, and stood on a small rasied platform. A red ribbon was set behind him, and Cristo had his scissors in hand.
In a loud voice he announced Crazy Cristo's Chocolate Factory is now Open!!! as he cut the ribbon.
Cheering a a light appluase could be heard.
In addition, he said, I have placed a present inside five Crazy Cristo Bars. Five lucky children will be given a tour of the factory, as well as a lifetime supply of chocolates. In addition, there will be one very lucky winner who will recieve a special prize. In my hand are these five golden tickets. Soon, trucks containing Crazy Cristo Bars will depart. Inside five of those trucks, 5 lucky winners will find the golden ticket. Good luck! he shouted. With that, he returned to his factory.
Murmurs and whispers could be heard floating the crowds breath. No one had been inside the factory yet, and no one had seen the inside.
Soon the trucks departed. By noon, the whole town had known of the prize.
enjoy.

Hehe. I never saw it coming. Awesome work deathslayer.
I loved how everybody fought over getting Cristo to be evil overlord or paladin and such like everyone else on the threads. Poor Cristo just wants his chocolate!
You know, I could totally see him as Willy Wonka too.

Re: Shippingitp IV: Flattery Will Get You EVERYWHERE
Alright, it's time for another from Destro. And this time it takes the form of a
Letter
SpoilerI'm sorry I have to tell you this way. A letter. It feels so impersonal to me. But I get so nervous around you, and the words get tangled up when I try to say them. No matter how much I rehearse it, I always mess something up.
So I'm writing you this. Putting all my thoughts down on paper, where I can't get them crossed in my head. You're so beautiful, and I'm so.. ordinary. I'm lucky you even notice me. I'm lucky I can talk to you, even if I can't say everything I want to say. Even now, writing this, I procrastinate. Best get it over with.
I love you.
It's not about beauty, or the physical things, it's about who you are. What you mean to me. And nothing can take that away. Again, I apologise for the impersonality of the written word, but this is the only way I could tell you. The only way to let you know how I feel. You don't have to answer this letter, it's enough for me just knowing that you read it.
You're a wonderful person. Whatever happens, remember that. Whatever anyone says, I'll be there. I love you, and I always will.Last edited by Destro_Yersul; 2009-01-05 at 08:14 PM.

Re: Shippingitp IV: Flattery Will Get You EVERYWHERE
Right, this is the final of instalment of my letters series. The real war doesn't end for several more years, but this is a good point to close it up. Any comments would be welcomed.
Letter 6: A reunion. (Lex-Cat/ZP and a little bit of RHL/Haruki)
SpoilerDearest Lex,
The Swedes have surrendered. Their king has fled to the Ottoman empire. As far as I'm concerned, they can keep him. However, I have even better news. I shall soon be there to ask for your hand offically. I shall be there in three weeks. I can hardly wait that long to see you again.
Your beloved,
Zar
Lex-cat read the letter again, not daring to hope. So soon? Why? Was she even ready? She quickly pulled out a blank scroll, a quill, and a jar of ink. She jotted down a few things she needed. She the folded it up, and went down stairs to summon a servant.
-----------One week later-----------------------------------------
The castle had been decorated to the nines. Walls and floors that had not been polished for decades now shined in the candle light. The great hall of the castle had been draped with carpets and banners. In a corner of this room General Haruki stood, looking rather out of place in a dress uniform.
Sire, is this really necessary? I mean, my old uniform wasn't that bad...
Haruki, your old uniform was so shreded and holely that it qualified for a pair of gloves. Ah...here they are now. Zar looked up and saw two woman walking towards them. One of them was giggling and the other looked quite serious, and was trying to quiet her friend.
Haruki, let me introduce you to Lady Rabbit, He gestured to the giggling woman. and Princess Lex-cat, my future wife.
Both woman curtsied, and Rabbit looked at General Haruki.Tell me milord, why do you seem so uncomfortable?
Haruki grimiced. Because milady, I would feel better in my real uniform. The uniform of a soilder.
You were a soilder? You must tell me all about it, while we eat of course.
Rabbit wrapped an arm around Haruki's arm, and she led him away towards the center of the room. Zar chuckled. He has no idea what he's getting into, does he?
Lex smiled. No, he doesn't. Shall we go outside?
Yes, lets. Zar offered her his arm, and she took it. As they headed out, they heard several conversations falter, then start up again in with a vigour. Zar could not help but smile.
We seem to be the source of alot of gossip tonight.
Yes. I heard one that suggested that tonight I would already be carrying the royal heir. While they were doing my hair. They both laughed, and stopped at the bank of a small pond. They stared out over it, knowing that this would be how they spent the rest of their lives.
((Blech, I hate the ending... I had to re-write it at least four times...))

Re: Shippingitp IV: Flattery Will Get You EVERYWHERE
@ Inigo- It was good. But I am also slightly troubled with the ending.
I think the problem is, this whole thing seems to have led up to an "Awww... that's sweet" ending and instead we got a Campy, happy, everyone's laughing ending (which aren't bad in themselves, it just doesn't seem to fit this series).
I hope that helps you some. I really liked this whole series and you're a good writer.
