Re: Kneenibble's Knack for Knightly Knickers: a Knell for Random Banter #184
oh god, here we go... 3 m of textual records
I should be more careful about what I jest -- I have not actually been diagnosed with a fatty liver, nor have I ever been but thin. No, I joke because of my ... fondness for the booze-a-booze. I just assume, in spite of my puerile slenderness, that my liver is overworked and annoyed.
Why, what other health problems do you have if have a good diet?
You can find all of the first season on Youtube. It's so deliciously campy. We also watched Addam's Family Values while they did their makeup, which holy smokes is a hoot! Angelica Houston as Morticia, rrrrrrrrawr.
There is deeper witchcraft in Hallowe'en than the feast-or-famine candle against the darkness, I think. It is a blossoming of repressed desires, a pressure valve for our demons, ... I have not enjoyed my stimulant yet this morning, so my poetic perspicacity to describe what I mean is limited. I shall remedy that dearth momentarily.
I confess, I have absolutely no mental image of you. I just see a thoughtful large-eyed pony soberly picking the keys with the outer edge of his hooves.
Yay! Poirot! I used to watch it with my parents when I was young. I love that man.
How typical are the "weird" fish things eaten by normal people, like for example lutfisk? Or more extremely, this surströmming? My mental grasp of Swedish food generally is a bit weak, in spite of my research.
Hee hee hee, Teddy, this has made my day. *hugs* You managed to pinpoint my location exactly, too -- were you trying to?
It is indeed the most expensive spice by mass [and sublime in its colour and fragrance], and yet considering one uses but a feather's weight at a time, the exercise is not really meaningful.
Are you... are you a Walloon?!

I'm curious to see what mine would be too, but then I'm not 100% clear what's even going on.

Re: Kneenibble's Knack for Knightly Knickers: a Knell for Random Banter #184
Lutfisk is only really eaten for Christmas, but even then it's on the decline, because the taste is something you need to get used to. It's pretty funny how our traditional Christmas food originally was the only types of food you could preserve over the winter, like pickled herring, root vegetables, cabbage and sausages, but in large amounts and with a newly butchered ham on top to mark the festivities.
Pickled herring can be seen as weird if you think too much about it, but it's rather commonplace, as is gravad lax. Surströmming is only eaten for the sake of eating surströmming.
Sort of. I had a general idea of your location, but didn't feel like trawling through the archives in search for the place where you mentioned your hometown and then double-check it with Google Maps, and since the whole point behind the map was for it to be disproportionate, haphazard and generally non-sensical, that was just the perfect spot for me to aim for.

Planning for lab-assisting, juxtaposing schedules and preparing myself in general. Man, I just feel so important. Knowing that I'm officially employed by the oldest university of the Nordics does nothing to help me keep my inflated ego down either.

Nordics, eh? Not Scandinavians? I had always wondered what the self-chosen, self-applied term was.
How does one prepare for lab-assisting?

A Belgium is equal to 7632 Rhode Islands.
A Belgium is of course SI while a Rhode Island is an imperial unit.
Ahh, nothing a good organ purchase can't fix then, specially if not congenital but caused by ingestion of alcohol.
I do not have a good diet, I have one that allows me to be inside proper body mass range; but at times I will oscillate between the two extremes, and it is by no means healthy, starting by the fact that I can boast not having eaten an unfried vegetable or fruit for 15 years.
There have been times when I have not eaten for two days and others when I had two lunches, three tea times and the customary breakfast and dinner.
My body is also suffering the effects of having had hobbies which on hindsight despite being incredible experiences have left me considerably less pristine than the average person, for best or for worse.

Re: Kneenibble's Knack for Knightly Knickers: a Knell for Random Banter #184
Yeah, but you could still realize that the area taken up by 7632 Rhode Islands was about 4% of the earth's surface (if I did my math right, which I probably didn't, because life hates me and wants to make me a hypocrite) and Belgium is significantly smaller than that. You can blame a calculator for a miscalculation, but you can't blame it for reporting a miscalculation.
