Re: Mafia IX Game Thread - St Valentines Massacre - Night 3
He lets out a sigh. You know, she left me about a week after that. Not because of that, no. Because I caught her doing the same thing. He chuckles a little. Funny how these things work out sometimes. He reaches into his pocket. I could've sworn I left the money. Oh well. He hands Celeste a twenty. Little extra for the inconvenience.
My point is at Uncle Festy.Last edited by KerfuffleMach2; 2009-02-23 at 11:17 PM.

Re: Mafia IX Game Thread - St Valentines Massacre - Day 5
Hmmm, it would seem to me that Selrahc, Trixie and Deathslayer7 all seem to think each other guilty of something over the past few days. Trixie has since ended up dead as a mobster, so there may be good information here then. I'll point at Deathslayer7

I point at Uncle Festy because all I have is that day 3 analysis. Sure, TnD wasn't a baddie, but you can't be right all the time and it doesn't mean that Uncle Festy isn't a baddie.

I had so many things I wanted to say but I've calmed down now. A good side of abduction.
Anyway. Good luck, villagers, you really need it since you're off against the luckiest wolves ever. You can hope that they end up offing each other.

Re: Mafia IX Game Thread - St Valentines Massacre - Night 3
Celeste smiles and tucks the bill into the bosom of her dress. She swings her legs around to sit more comfortably on the stool. She hadn't expected him to pay up, and now that he had... "Well then, cowboy, you just bought yourself a little extra time." She pours herself another shot of whiskey and offers some to Kerfuffle. "You poor, lonely thing. I bet your nights have been mighty cold since then. I hate that for ya." She swirls the liquor around in her glass for a moment, then tosses it back. "What was your name again, cowboy? Because I feel a little like celebratin' - I just got myself one of those new telephone gadgets." She smiles proudly. A picture on the front page of the paper catches her eye and her smile falters for a moment as she purses her lips in thought. Still, not wanting to chase off a potential good time, she quickly shakes it off. Was that deathslayer7 in the paper? I thought she left town.
((I was suspicious of DS7 early on, notably for saying 'save my RP partner' to keep BR in the game. I dropped those suspicions after SoG turned out to be a mobster - but now they're back.))Last edited by Dirk Kris; 2009-02-24 at 08:44 AM.

Re: Mafia IX Game Thread - St Valentines Massacre - Day 5
...There just seemed to be something, well, wrong about one of the bandwagons in town... Well, that wasn't too surprising... There usually was a problem with at least one of them. The voices crying out for Festy's head were loud, insistent, and strangely unresponsive to his recent silence... I had him pegged for being abducted a bit ago... Like that Ness fellow. Shame that he was gone. We could've used his info. Hope he'd told someone any hot leads he had.
There were a few things that didn't quite add up, to my mind about Selrahc, but people didn't tend to listen to out-of-work writers. And most people didn't even think that I was that much, just another bum on the street... Couldn't blame 'em for ignoring me, but if I didn't speak my mind, no one else was going to speak it for me."Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make men happy." --Siegbert Tarrasch

Re: Mafia IX Game Thread - St Valentines Massacre - Day 5
Even in death, she couldn't stay out of the way. Seems like some ghosts just don't want to give up on life.
Neither did I.
I followed the spirit around, waiting quietly to let her slip up. She'd make a mistake, and then I'd pounce.
I had a need for vengeance. And if those darn corrupt policemen wouldn't let me have it in life, then I'd sure as hell make them feel it in the afterlife.
Say - that's a nice coat you got there.....I says to Trixie.

It was one of those days. One of those days when you realize you've been laying about in a drunken stupor for near a week. So really it wasn't a day at all.
That Dr. Bath fellow looks awfully suspicious. He's probably twirling his mustache and plotting the downfall of some innocent girl which he will then tie to a railroad track.Groom to the Haberdasher's Daughter.

Re: Mafia IX Game Thread - St Valentines Massacre - Day 5
Really? Are we doing this?
Look. The logic this bandwagon is based on is Jontom referring back to a post on day three, which when I looked at it is a fallacious argument that is entirely based on, by his own admission, anyone knowing that the Baner was the Baner on day three. Which makes no sense how would they know?
And if that's not enough, I'm a Mason. There. I said it. I'm a Mason don't lynch me, please.
So, Deathslayer7, in an attempt to save my arse.Last edited by Uncle Festy; 2009-02-24 at 09:10 PM.

Re: Mafia IX Game Thread - St Valentines Massacre - Day 5
Uncle Festy: The logic is that one of the devils may have scried Shades of gray; the only reliable way of killing the baner is by lynching them. Trixie was on that bandwagon for instance. It is a weak argument, but Jontom did say that he was pointing at you because he had no better lead.
However, if you say you're a mason, I'll believe you. If you're lying, the opposing mafia group would probably kill you anyway
