Welcome to The Stick Awards II: Second Edition!

The Stick Awards are handed out to the best strips of all time as chosen by our fellow Playgrounders.

Over the next few days, we're taking a bit of a break and finishing up The Best of the Hundred Tournament for Comics #101 - #200 as we take the time to decide which of the strips really are the best of best.

To vote in this thread, simply state which comic of the five listed is your favorite. Bolding the number of the comic (Like this) helps it stand out.

Voting, which only lasts five days during the Best of the Hundred Tournament will close on November 4th, 4pm EST. Any votes made after that will NOT count toward the totals.

The winner of this Best of the Hundred final will go on to the Best of the Thousand tournament if and when we reach Comic Number 1000.

In the second semi-final, 200 - The Confrontation engaged what it saw was the enemy, and forced its way into the final by way of martial might. Meanwhile 179 - Liar, Liar, fast-talked its way past the other entrants and so confused them that it was able to saunter in to the finals as a Wild Card entrant with everyone else stunned silent.

Finally, BOTH 110 - Revenge is Best Served Really Cold and 122 - Adventurers Are Coming! Adventurers Are Coming! managed to claim the final Wild Card spot due to them tying in the first semi-final and none besting them in the second.

Five strips have proved themselves worthy, besting all other challengers to this point. But only ONE can move on from here.

Tough choice, but I'm voting for 179: Liar, Liar again. 200 is glorious in many ways, but it just isn't as drop-dead hilarious.

For me it is a really close one between my semi-final-votes, 122 & 179.

But for the moment, while Belkar is awesome and has a really great line in 179 , and 122 doesn't even feature him - I'm going to vote for 122 - Adventurers Are Coming! Adventurers Are Coming!. The small town feeling is just too lovely to resist

Honourably 3rd place would go to 200, it is a cool strip, with a major plot point - but that alone isn't enough for me

It's really quite obvious. Sure, 200 is all dramatic and such, but it's always the humour that's the best. Thus, my vote is cast for #179 - Liar, Liar.

One of my favorite gags throughout the strip.

Interesting selection here. 179 is the weakest of the bunch, IMO; still a good strip, but not up to the rest here. Slightly surprised about how strongly it is doing. 110 is fourth; really good. 149 and 122 would both take joint second place, but all of these are behind

200.

A worthy climax to the 'mysterious stranger' sub-plot, a great action scene full of character moments, and a real four-page treat for those awaiting something special for the two hundreth strip.
