I like how the plots been moving forward, but out of nowhere I found myself wanting a "meanwhile" style strip for the holidays showing what Thog is up to. So what while the order of the stick was getting blown up in the desert what do you think Thog was doing at that exact moment?

The beautiful thing of crackfiction is that, when well-written, it makes sense and creates squee.

Seriously you can't complain about V/RC until you've read the fic's. And once you've read them, you're a shipper as well.

I find this incredibly amusing, mostly because I'm the one who wrote/is writing those fics.

Thog, I assume, is with the Linear Guild. I'm a little surprised that the fiends didn't use Sabine and the LG to kick the Order and Xykon into gear--maybe they're just too useless--but they should be back before long. Rich has never been one to keep big characters he plans on using off-screen for over a book.

On the topic of V/RC, I'm opposed to it simply because RC has a properly defined gender, and the idea that they could have a child is applying a gender to V (unless the belt of gender bender was perhaps involved).

On topic, however, I must submit my full support for this thread and everything it stamds for.

Mmm, lemme see if I can explain it to you.

Personally, I don't care for the idea of V and RC getting together. I don't think it could ever or will ever happen in the comic, and as far as I'm concerned, V doesn't have a gender until Rich comes out and gives us some definite proof of it.

However, Water-Smurf's story is so incredibly well written and so downright enjoyable that I just don't care. For me, I can let go of my own opinions and say "Okay, if the Monster in the Darkness didn't teleport V and O-Chul away, and V was/is a woman, then the plot could certainly have unfolded this way."

As for the more insane pairings... well, they're usually good for a chuckle or two. No one takes it seriously. Even the artwork is often just a joke.

All that said, if it's not your cup of tea the politest thing to do would be to just not comment on it, rather than throwing on capslock and calling what someone has written "sick, gross, and perverted". By extension, you're calling anyone who reads/enjoys that work sick, gross, and perverted. Now, that probably comes close to violating the forum rules anyway, but it's just downright rude regardless.

Anyway, this is all horribly off-topic and I apologize. Anyone who'd like to discuss the crack pairngs thread should probably do it in the crack pairings thread.
