Re: Bibliography
I'm a writer. I always see where the plot can go, so I can enjoy where it does go. Besides I'm just pointing out possibilities, like I said, it's probably not going to happen.

Re: Bibliography
New page up.
These explanations have been pretty nice so far. I can get a lot of information out to the readers, but since the textboxes are so large I can't really draw anything too detailed. Well, once the explanations are done with I can really focus on the plot.

Re: Bibliography
Awesome, new page!
Hm, I wonder what's going to come up next. We've got codices, pages, chapters, librarians, bibliography, and ink. Maybe the next is tome? Volume? Glossary? Index? Library?

Re: Bibliography
Of course i did. Why else would i acknowledge that i'm being a smartass?
Maybe the appendix stores the page's energy or something?Wouldn't that be the Bibliography?Maybe but i got the impression the energy comes from the page themselves, or their connection to the codex depending on how you look at it.
This story's got one major detail that sort of confuses me: If this descent is so dangerous why would they create pages in the first place? Librarians are obvious: pages started to descend, they needed a way to defeat the abyssals they became. And once they got started, making more pages was most likely a necessity to help fight pages before they finish descending.
But why would they start making them? Moreover, why not just stop?

Re: Bibliography
Because the price is right? Being a page gives you a lot of advantages over being just a human and it seems that descending is not that likely to happen to everyone - you just have to be aware of the risk and watch out.
A more important question would be: where did codices and whitebox weapons came from?Last edited by Radar; 2010-06-01 at 11:04 AM.

An other question: why did Eve research abyssals, and is that why she ended up with Ben?

Re: Bibliography
Also, it seems like normally Descending pages can be identified and stopped well before they become Abyssals. Ink speeds up the process greatly, hence it's danger.

Re: Bibliography
It just seems like a stupid risk, particularly since every codex has a price in the first place =/ and before someone did it they wouldn't be sure what the risks would be. It might be me but i get the feeling the first pages were created out of desperation against something else.
A more important question would be: where did codices and whitebox weapons came from?

Re: Bibliography
Why live in the city, there is a chance to get hit by a car or be mugged? It's not like every Page is guaranteed to Descend eventually, or even a majority of them.
And from the sounds of things, Descent is triggered by a traumatic event of some sort. It doesn't just happen.

Actually, it's still being used. It's sort of a hiding place for the good bacteria in our digestive tract to hide if the entire tract is being flushed out. (IE, A really bad stomach problem. You know the one.)

Re: Bibliography
New page up.
I changed a couple things around again. I've begun to make my lines just the tiniest bit thinner, so that I could fit more details on there. It might not show up much on these reduced-size images, but once it gets up on Gaijinmanga the difference is pretty remarkable.
