Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Murskaand others, get off my me please. If you're looking for a wolf, look someplace else.
Vote tally:
Generic-Guy (1): Ramsus
Xihirli (1): Generic-Guy
Bobb (2): Thematthew, Lex-Kat
Logic (2): Bobb, Kish
Libro (3): Duck999, Murska, ThePhantom
Ramsus (1): Gray Mage
Gray Mage (1): Elenna
Thematthew (1): AvatarVecna
Murska (2): Duneyrr, Libro
I'd add a vote to Logic/Bobb, but both seem town to me at the moment, and neither of them are voting for me.
Spoiler: VotesMy own vote for Murska is at the top of this post.
I've been up to my eyebrows in college assignments, and nobody seemed like a good choice, so I rolled in the dice-roller test thread (as I don't own a d16). I linked because I didn't see a reason not to do so.
@flat_footed:
1) What happens when there is a tie?
2) May we submit lynch/nightkill death scenes/ideas for death scenes?
To prepare for the event that #2's answer is yes, I'm going to start on mine now. I don't expect people to let me live through the day and the wolves will probably shoot me tonight if I do. I'll check this again later tonight after my chemistry test.Last edited by Grand Arbiter; 2017-03-02 at 08:38 PM.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Libro, are you claiming to be a town powerrole? If so, do it properly. Vague hinting is bad for Town.
As far as voting for me goes, I am one of the few people who is openly and actively hunting for wolves. Does that really make me the most likely wolf, and more to the point, can the Town afford to use that as a lynch criterion?

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
@Bobb/Logic: Yep, that was a screw-up on my part. I had to do a lot of copy-paste and it must've got lost along the way.
I've been hoping I could avoid doing so, but might as well now due to lack of better options. I am the Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test/G.O.A.T. Administrator (Fool).

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Don't buy it.
If I were the fool I wouldn't have gone to grousing about the wolves killing me in the night as soon as I took the vote lead.
Libro is more suspicious to me than Logic ATM.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
I don't see any reason not to believe the claim unless he's counterclaimed. Normally I'd vote for Bobb for that, but I honestly don't want to vote for any of the top wagons, Bobb included, as they all seem like they're people at least trying to find wolves. (Even though it's Day 1.) Could we get a wagon against someone else? Like the guy I'm already voting for maybe?

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
1) What happens when there is a tie? One person will be lynched at random, the other(s) will be voided for the following night.
2) May we submit lynch/nightkill death scenes/ideas for death scenes? Absolutely! You can either send it to be to put in the recap or post it yourself after the results are revealed.Last edited by flat_footed; 2017-03-02 at 08:32 PM.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
After my exam I don't feel like arguing with anyone, and I probably won't be checking the thread again until the morning. If I'm lynched, this will be my last post in the game.
-Last I checked, you aren't me.
Buona notte a tutti di voi.
Good night to all of you.
EDIT: @V : not as well as I would have liked.
And since I'm in a cantankerous mood, have a vote Bobb.Last edited by Grand Arbiter; 2017-03-02 at 08:58 PM.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Could we not kill either a claimed and uncounterclaimed town power role or me? That would be ideal, really.
Edited to add: I hope the exam went well, Libro.Last edited by Kish; 2017-03-02 at 08:42 PM.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
No hard feelings libro. I apologize for my tone.
Shocked, actually shocked I haven't been gang-piled for this yet. Going to sleep hoping for a counterclaim to make me look smart. Failing that I don't know what the plan is anymore.
Was really hoping to repeat my "voting for a wolf day one" feat from Shape shifters. we wont talk about my voting record for the rest of the games

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Without a leader, even a bad one, the residents took to loudly expressing their own opinions. Discussions ran long, and fingers pointed to many different suspects, each accusation making less sense than the last.
"I saw him sneaking around the armory last night!"
"I swear, that dog has a shifty look about him. Always sneaking around underfoot, sniffing around."
"She took the last blueberry muffin! They were the Overseer's favorite!"
Edmund the dog, whining at the loud voices that echoed painfully in the Vault corridors, carried a stack of papers in his mouth and tried to give them to anyone he could find. Most shooed him away impatiently; some even aimed a kick at him. Eventually, Edmund grew annoyed enough to nip at an exposed hand after being ignored for too long.
"Yowch! That dog's rapid! He has to go!"
With a yelp, Edmund beat a hasty retreat to the safety of his dog house and lay in there trembling. His breath came in a panic of wheezing groans, knowing that the pursuit was right behind him. As the four residents pushed through the doorway to where the dog house lay, they all came to a confused stop. Where the dog house had once been, was just a mess of papers chewed through and covered with drool. On one of them, the four figures could barely make out a figure of a man riding on a goat.
Libro has been killed. He was the Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test/G.O.A.T. Administrator.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
The beginning of the night was signaled by the standard dimming of the Vault lighting, almost to pure darkness, though many were still awake. Conversations died off one by one, ending in far more controlled tones than before. Almost everyone was fearful to anger those around them, unsure of who was friend or foe. Measured footsteps carefully picked their way through down corridors, causing more than one resident to flinch in their rooms. Every door had a lock, but it was common knowledge the Overseer could get to anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Somewhere in the Vault, a figure approached a hidden console as a second form paced outside a particular doorway. Several beeps sound as fingers weave their way across the screen with practiced ease. A slight click sounds as the lock disengages and the second figure rushes in to the room. The bright green flash of a weapon discharging lights the hallways and both figures beat a hasty retreat.
In the morning, the residents rise one by one and try to resume a semblance of normality after the previous day's events. One resident, unable to get sleep at all, had taken to walking the entire breadth of the Vault. As people were waking, they stared at the haggard figure moving past them. The resident drew closer to their room, realizing the aroma of something burning was growing stronger. Rushing to their open door, the damage to room is catastrophic. The bed has a half dozen circles burned clean through it, melting through sheet and pillow and scoring the bed frame beneath. If someone had been lying there when the attack came, death would have come quickly.
Begin Day 2.
Everyone is talking, now, either emboldened by surviving the night or by their common topic: the failed murder attempt. Almost everyone thinks the attack could have only come from the Overseer, or one of those who fled in disguise with them. If they are willing to strike with such force without warning, possibly even without provocation, it is growing even more important to find them.
The intercom hisses on, interrupting conversations, but it's only static. A minute later, it clicks back off again, devoid of either morning announcements or any other strange messages.Last edited by flat_footed; 2017-03-04 at 08:46 PM.

Murska. Why are you blaming me for the Fool getting lynched? I stated my reasons for not wanting to switch to the other wagons, it's not my fault other people didn't act.Last edited by Ramsus; 2017-03-04 at 10:27 PM.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Yeah, that no one moved to save him led me to believe a lot of people didn't witness the claim, ergo it was highly plausible the real G.O.A.T. hadn't had a chance to counterclaim yet. I think you saw the claim as well, right?
And if you're voting by reactions to libro's claimKishis definitely your vote today.
This is what happened:
He could have voted for me, leading to a tie vote.Last edited by Bobb; 2017-03-05 at 07:08 PM.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
I confess I didn't count the votes closely. If I could have tied the vote (alone)--that still sounds suboptimal even if it worked perfectly (a tied vote isn't good for town), and really risky. I expected someone to shift off Libro, in light of the claim.
Also, your first sentence looks like a case we shouldn't vote based on the results of Libro's claim, and then you...do so, for someone who never voted for Libro? Bobb.Last edited by Kish; 2017-03-05 at 11:18 AM.

That's actually a good argument. Kish it is. I mean, you were to blame too but at least you've defended your thinking on it.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
If someone claimed, my first reaction is not to vote for them until they are counterclaimed.
UnlikeBobb, who voted for them after he claimed.
Because if someone claims, we should kill someone else who is as likley to be a wolf, and on day one, that is everyone. If there is a counterclaim, then we can kill them. If not, then it is great! We got a towny cleared for the powerroles to gain anonym contact.
But you killed him. Killing a un-counterclaimed is basical ALLWAYS stupid. If a wolf fake-claims, well, counterclaim comes and we lose at worst the claimed powerrole, but get automatical a wolf.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
It's not about the blame, it's about the tone. Your reaction isn't 'I don't believe his claim' or 'Oh, I guess we need to keep him alive then', it's 'Huh. A claim. It'd be really suspicious to vote for him, so of course I won't do that, but I wouldn't really mind if he happened to die. Let me just step aside and see how people react.' That's a wolf mindset.

I'm going to poke
ThePhantomfor a response. He was one of the few other players that voted Libro, but claimed it was only a random vote.
