Davhid sighed at the oncoming horde. He was useless at this kind of fight, and he knew it. Maybe, Davhid would be able to convince Valance to go on a run to eliminate the rear troops, maybe demolish a few of the war engines. Orcs weren't like humans, their leaders didn't command from the rear, and so weren't susceptible to infiltrating assassins.

A huge rock is lobbed over the wall on the somewhere to the northern side (up on the map) and lands in the courtyard. it does not hit anything but now you know they have a catapult...

the catapult is about 60 meters away. how did they sneak a army up on them, indeed! that is a goooood question......
Arkai's father gives some orders with a trumpet sound and waving a special flag in the catapult's direction. two men (armed with crossbows but with no armour) runs towards the tower nearest the catapult.
meanwhile, a big bellied orc blows a huge horn. the sound is deep and long and rattles the very stone you stand on.
