Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVII: What's up with making threads anyway.
Personally, I don't see what the big deal is about making threads. Why it's considered so important. You pick a title, copy-paste the first post from the last thread with minor adjustments, and BAM, your done. Perhaps you get a brief moment of somthing as you admire the cleverness of your title, but that's it. It's hardly worth all this drama.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVII: 40% Spam, 55% Banter, 5% Actually Meaningful Discussi
Even so, maybe 0.001% of those who die become ghosts. The great beings of Law want to increase efficiency, so they just decide to remove the 0.001%.
This may sound evil, but all the inevitable can be evil
A man may raise himself as a lich so he can remain alive long enough to defeat a great evil. A Marut ports in and punches his face in. Evil wins.
A man makes a blood contract with an evil being. He finds out that the man is evil and plans to invade a nearby country to get an artifact.. He disregards the contract to give 50% of his crops to the man's army. BAM! Killed by an inevitable.
The only other way it could work, is that there is a LE Inevitable that catches souls, and a LG inevitable that fulfills why they are ghosts. These are the soul catchers and praesians. The praesians often go to the material plane to aid adventurers.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVII: 40% Spam, 55% Banter, 5% Actually Meaningful Discussi
No. There may be defectives, but all normal inevitables are LN.
And a man who becomes a lich to defeat a great evil, in doing so becomes evil.
Just saying.
And yes, I know that justice can often be very inconvenient.
And how about that '0.001%' is a different type of ghost. Thoughts?
And BRC and kPenguin, I agree. I'm sorry Lying, I just wanted to actually make an ABR thread, and nobody said that you still wanted to make a thread.
EDIT: Oh. CRAP. I am very sorry, I thought it said 'someone' rather than 'no-one'. I'm very, very sorry Lying.Last edited by The Gremlin; 2009-01-07 at 07:58 PM.

Indeed.
The idea that we should engage in mindless chatter just to satisfy your ego and let you post a new thread is ridiculous.
Of course, we get enough mindless chatter already.Visit the Chocolate Hammer IRC channel!

Gremlin, I just provided a quote which shows that Lying himself said he still wanted to make the thread.

You guys have more drama than the ship thread.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVII: 40% Spam, 55% Banter, 5% Actually Meaningful Discussi
You did edit it a minute after I posted, and the sentence doesn't make sense when it says someone instead of no one. It just looks like you know that lying wants to make the thread, but you make it anyway.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVII: 40% Spam, 55% Banter, 5% Actually Meaningful Discussi
Look, Lying never said anything about my not being able to make the thread. Probably because nobody seems to acknowledge me. And so I see something which looks like he wants me to go along and make the thread, and since it seemed like he had no problem with me making the thread, I went ahead.
Also, it's pretty selfish that Lying would want us to hold off making teh next thread. Which is more important, him or ABR? I mean, I agree with BRC, and I was trying to offer peace, but if you guys want to keep that can of worms open, then fine. I have a pretty good argument here.
And as for letting CA back in: Do we have to?

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVII: 40% Spam, 55% Banter, 5% Actually Meaningful Discussi
I just wanted to prove my point to you that lying did in fact respond to you, but I was confused about your edit.
In the terms of a human life, I would think Lying is more important than a jumble of pixels, plus he's British.
I probably also have a good argument.
We do not have to let CA in, but being the gentleman that I am, I would.Want an avatar? Shoot me a PM.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVII: 40% Spam, 55% Banter, 5% Actually Meaningful Discussi
I'm just saying, CA is annoying, has bad grammar, and is extremely immature.
And yes, I realize that what I said about Lying came out wrong (sorry, Lying). I meant, 'which is more important? Lying's desire to do the discussion thread twice', or ABR discussion continuing?'.
