SM: Ah, well, I'm a bit out of it right now, but I'd guess that it has something to do with me falling out of a hole in the wall, grabbing the ledge and swinging back around and into another hole in the wall, into a room full of robots (that want to kill me), landing on top of a robot (that wanted to kill me), knocking it into a bottomless pit, and then cut another robot (that wanted to kill me) in two with a sword.
BH: Er...
SM: It was about then that the adrenaline rush ran out and I realized that I'd just fallen out of a hole in the wall, grabbed the ledge and swung back around into another hole in the wall, into a room full of robots (that wanted to kill me), landed on top of a robot (that wanted to kill me), which knocked it into a bottomless pit, and then cut another robot (that wanted to kill me) in two with a sword.
BH: Uh...
SM: The resulting flash of lucidity distracted me, causing me to lose my footing and fall on my butt. Which hurts, by the way.
BH: Right...I'm just going to say you tripped.
BH: Anyways, glad you're here, you can help me take care of the ROGUES.
BH: I mean, I could have taken them down myself of course, but this way I can store up my ACTION.
SM: Of course.
BH: ...Are you really all right? You seem a bit out of it.
SM: What? No, I'm perfectly in control. I'll get right on killing all the ROGUES for you.
BH: Well, maybe you should stand up first.
SM: That would probably be a good idea.
(Note: You can now control both BH and SM by preceding the command with the appropriate initials)

BH: Run up to the top of the stairs to have a better view and start picking off ROGUES one by one with your gun.
SM: Stay on the ground to make a lower target. Those GUN ROGUES don't look like they can aim well in any vertical direction, and you'd probably fall again anyway. Crawl to the nearest BOXER ROGUE and slice its arms off.It's been a bit, GitP. If you're reading this, you're either digging through old stuff, or I've posted for the first time in forever.

Do we know what class SM is? Apparently it's "More pure than a Soldier", and I'm assuming that mean's it's melee focused.
Anyway (Numbering the ROGUE'S clockwise frome top)
BH: Backstab Rogue 2, Shoot rogue 1. Say "I felt like using a back to the basics approach".
SM: Get up and Charge ROGUEs 3 and 4 (the two gun rogues at the bottom of the screen)
Edit: It should be noted that SM's ARCHETYPE ARRAY probably contains such ARCHETYPES as HARDY HEROINE (What SM appears to be on now), VICIOUS VIXEN (Focus on Offense at the expense of Defense), and FEMME FANTASTICAL (Fantasy-style magic sword tricks)Last edited by BRC; 2010-05-04 at 07:56 PM.

You say, "I felt like using a basic to the back approach," and then get started on killing all the ROGUES, starting by going counter-clockwise, shooting one ROGUE and then backstabbing the other.
Wait, did you get that right?

You attempt to use a crazy powerful maneuver that you used to think sounded cool, but wasn't really practical, or even physically possible. This is just a game though, so maybe you can pull it off.
Unfortunately, the game is quick to disagree. Seems you're not high enough level to use that maneuver yet, or something.

You continue around, switching to SUAVE SPY and entering STEALTH since nobody's looking at you anymore, then PICK UP the next ROGUE from behind.
...You totally meant to be going counter-clockwise this whole time, despite you entering a command to go clockwise. Just to be clear.
You feel a bit dizzy, but nobody notices since you're still CLOAKED, you presume because nobody was looking at you when you 1-shotted that ROGUE.

Deciding to just use some good 'ol fashioned sword swinging instead of worrying about any SPECIAL MOVES, you roll to the SOUTH and get busy chopping those pesky robots to pieces.
It seems the game is trying to alert you that you're gaining POINTS of some kind while you do this, and apparently you have 3 of them so far. You have no idea how to find out what they're for or how you got them, though it's probably safe to assume it has something to do with your current state of swinging your swords about wildly.

SM: Remove arms and legs from remaining rogues with good straightforward sword work.
BH: Use agent-style sleight of hand to loot ammunition from the remaining gun rogues- make quip about them firing blanks

Using the game's interface as a weapon? That seems a bit silly, there's no way any self-respecting game designer would...
Well, huh. Guess it does work. Shattered immersion aside, it does look like a pretty nice sword, if you say so yourself.
