Okay can we take a step back here? I appreciate the need to get a lynch in, and yes, someone stepping out and assuming a mason role unchallenged is definitely something to give weight. And to be honest, all I got is gut instinct. It makes no sense for someone to 'take one for the team' in this game. It's fun until you're dead. If you're team won but you died on day 4, meh. I'm sticking my neck out here, but it's what I do. Though to be fair, I called banjo a wolf last time, so if banjo is a mason, um, whoops.

I point at Trixie despite certain misgivings. I've done the "lynch so and so if i die tonight" thing a few times. Unfortunately I've never gone back and checked after the game ended if they were a bad guy or not, so I don't know how reliable it is.

Okay, I don't know why one of the last two masons would out himself to try and lynch someone he wasn't sure of. But then again, if he isn't a mason, then you'd think someone would say so. It's not really a role it's easy to fake. And I guess it's entirely possible that Banjo is a mason *and* Trixie is a villager.

Well, the fact that Banjo is a mason is as likely as the fact I'm a wolf. That is, not very, but it is possible.

But then again, I've been trying to talk to Trixie privately and gotten absolutely nothing from him. Just "I've learned not to speak out or it will get me targeted." Which is kind of crappy logic - no villager should be more worried about their personal survival than the team win. But even now that the lynch mob is forming, he still won't say anything. Which is kind of odd.

You got absolutely nothing from me because (if you check the hours) it was well past midnight there so I decided to sleep and give you my points tomorrow morning, with fresh head. Yes, I could have thrown a few names at you but I wanted to doublecheck them.


Oh, and what is it - you people are sure enough to point at me, but not sure enough to enter that little wager? What's that? Are some of you wolves who knew I'm not one, but are pointing at me to make Team Good lose a day?

Damn, folks. I would have thought those of you who've played with me would know by now, I'm not very active in games, ever. Like, I only ever play if 1) the setting interests me (ala Phantom of the Opera and Batman) or 2) Good friends are the narrators (like this, and Raistlin's Rock Stars). And my votes are almost always random.
You can lynch me all you like, but you're not helping yourselves.

As for the people doubting I am a Mason, it's a fair point that a mason would not come out to dispute that claim, to keep their own hides safe. What I would say is, two masons are dead, and the narrators have specifically stated that their were 4 masons at game start. That means there are only two of us left, so there's not much of a network there. By coming out, I give us a chance of getting that network, while targetting someone I'm 90% certain of being a wolf. I've had a power-role claim already, so even if Trixie isn't lynched, this may not all be in vain.

Well, I'm going to go grab a dinner, sit and analyze voting pattern of these concerned, and if I find anything conclusive I'll get back to all of you.

If I won't - well, I guess I'll keep these private, as I'm usually doing with any private negotiations, to not reveal any real power roles around.

RHL's voting pattern looks suspicious, but that's actually kind of normal for her. She doesn't play werewolf games often, and she tends to not be very active in them. Probably someone is reminding her to vote when she's up for autolynch. Which doesn't mean she's innocent, it just means I don't think her posting history is suspicious for her.

I tend to get some good hunches sometimes, but rarely this early in the game. So, um... Shadowcaller based on absolutely nothing at all.

This move is classic banjo, and makes total sense from a WW point of view. At this point, we theorize that there's two, maybe even one mason left. Once the Mason network ceases to be... a network... what's the point in preserving your role? Your power comes from the folks you know, not your actions. Now, if there's really two masons left, and the seer has any sense, he can contact Banjo during the night, Banjo can pass the name to whoever's left, and they can begin a new (very small) network from there.

Also, Festy, the narrators have been kind enough to beat me about the face and neck with vote reminders as well, so it's not just RHL that's getting them. I don't think that can be held as a special consideration for analysis.

Trixie, just to put a nail in the coffin. If he's a wolf, we have two STRONG suspects to look at the next day.

Day 4 ends.

Trixie makes his way through the streets of Whitechapel, eyes narrowed. Any of these cretins could be the killer - especially that fool over there with the puppet. He shies away from touching anyone for fear their dirtiness or stupidity might rub off on him.

Two women approach, their hands and faces washed clean though their clothes are dirty. They exchange words with Trixie, laughing and pointing. The young man is at once enthralled and disgusted by them. Soon, their conversation turns to darker things.

They stroll down a dimly-lit alley.
"We know who the killer is, we think."
"Really? So do I!"
"Mmmhmm, and we know you're smart. So smart you could fool most of the people around you."
Trixie smirks. "Of course."
"In fact, we bet you can figure out what we're thinking."
"And that would be?"
"Well, who's the only one clever enough to pull off something so bold as to hide in plain sight and get all those poor, silly hookers killed?"
Trixie guffaws loudly. "Well, the only one smart enough, of course, is..."
The trio emerges suddenly onto a busy street.
"...ME."
The hookers grin at each other and, as one, turn to point at Trixie, who is proudly pressing a thumb against his own chest.

"He just admitted he's the killer!"
"Get him!"

The crowd of Londoners turns on the poor young man and rushes towards him. Too late, Trixie realizes what he's done. "No, wait, I'm a-" He is cut off, dragged down under the mob.

Yeah, because you wouldn't actually tell anyone. The blame for that rests squarely on your shoulders. And don't try the 'I wouldn't talk because you were trying to lynch me' bit either. Putting your own personal survival above the good of the team might be a good wolf strategy, but it's a terrible villager one.
