Re: Crack Pairings V - We Revel in Infamy
*pant* *pant* FINALLY!! After being once again overwhelmed by Homework Zombies back at page 35(-ish), I have FINALLY finished binge-ing my way back to the present!
@Water-Smurf: I fear for Tiasal's soul. And possibly the continued survival of the sentient races.
@Sstoopidtallkid: Pffffffffffffffffffffff
Also, I feel that the Ancient Romans were a great society that died earlier than it should have.

And what do you think about Pygmalion?...about what?
*goes back and finds link*
Oh, there's definitely a crack story there.
Or the Latin language?
Heck, ancient Rome in general?Last edited by Zanaril; 2010-01-13 at 07:07 PM.

Re: Crack Pairings V - We Revel in Infamy
Apparently. It's been established as "some homebrew plane" no one's ever heard of, and apparently whoever created it just haphazardly mashed a bunch of Classic Mythology characters and some other random items from ancient Greek and ancient Roman culture together and called it a day.
That's what she said.Susan Sto Helit avatar by Felyndiira.

Yes, there is. We still want to be somewhat in control of ourselves.
Wait, where'd you get that glass?

Re: Crack Pairings V - We Revel in Infamy
Most of the stuff is available at Gutenberg.net in text files. I recommend Suetonius and Tacitus*. And all mythology has some fertility myths that are generally squicktitious. Sometimes it turns up in unexpected places - Thor's hammer was normally small, but it grew if you rubbed it...
*Tacitus has some wonderful acid comments. Like when Nero marries a eunuch and Tacitus says "A lot of people said it was a pity his mother hadn't done likewise."
I think we have names up until thread XII or somehing. I think we should call one "Resistance is Futile."
I think any language with more than two cases needs to be bitch-slapped. I still have nightmares from my Russian classes (6 cases). And it's still not as bad as Finnish (15 cases) or Auld Finnish (28 cases).
I love history, but especially Classical History. If you are interested in Roman history, I recommend Colleen McCullough's Masters of Rome series.Last edited by Asta Kask; 2010-01-14 at 02:24 AM.

The next thread is to be called "We've finally stooped to shipping ourselves".
I won't be on until about 3 PM eastern time, so if it's madly before that, somebody make the thread without me. Just make sure to coordinate with Lira.
And no, I cannot, Oooohaloophole, Lira's in charge of that index. It's been a bit, GitP. If you're reading this, you're either digging through old stuff, or I've posted for the first time in forever.
