Now, about V/Elan. I think, Sereg’s explanation sounds rather believable.
Or V might find out that Haley begins to grow tired of Elan because of his behavior (or because their relationship wasn’t turning out like she expected it would). She didn’t want to upset Elan, so she was silent, but V saw they’re just not meant for each other and decided to act.
Or Haley and Elan might begin to fight very often. That could cause some problems for the whole Order. V might start thinking that if they can’t work together properly it could put their super-important-mission in danger. Hence V would be obligated to prevent that and therefore break them up. (and take Elan for hirself )
Or something like that.

How would Belkar comfort V...?
(Take advantage of the fact that wizards can use daggers? Ooh! Ooh! Belkar notices that V uses a dagger as a bookmark in hir spellbook! Come on, you gotta admit he'd be somewhat impressed by that.)

Another reason that V wouldn't break them up is that s/he is aware of the pain s/he felt following the divorce with Kyrie, and wants to spare Elan/Haley out. To be honest, I think V would try to get them back together before breaking them up. Just my two cp though.

Asta did a Xykon and Tiasal fic that wasn't a pairing, but was pretty cute as well as a "Life of Brian" parody, some poems (which Lix Lorn and Gicko joined in with) and his patented song lyrics (which Water-Smurf and Debatra did as well).

Belkster 11 did O-Chul x Haley.

Taekwondodo began converting "In the Arms of Morpheus" into a musical".

Tira-chan did Spock/V.

Lavieru did Belkar/V.

Otaku lady89 did Belkar/Demon Roaches, Redcloak/Teevo and V/Dorukan.

Lix Lorn did female bard Xykon x Elan.

Lycan 01 came back and did Durkon/Demon Roaches, TEoFaF/Redcloak (High heels and black leather), Tsukiko?Tsukiko (snowed in), Celia/Roy's sword (French maid outfit), Dragon's hoard x Yok-Yok x Yor (someone is a vampire), Julia x Therkla (someone is a vampire, stuck on a desert island) and Belkar/Snarl (Pink frills and white lace).

Woolen socks did V/Belkar + Blackwing/Mr. Scruffy.

Gicko did Hydra/Windstriker (love potion).

icastflare! did a high school Belkar fic.

Roland made a mistake that made it look like he endorsed the booted wight/"I CRAVE MORTAL FLESH" goblin ghast, so several of us decided to do that. We also got in trouble with him a couple of times.

We started up the squickies again and there have been some entries.

There, I think that covers it. By the way, is it just me or do we portray Celia as really into cosplaying and roleplaying for romantic purposes?

Hm... The more I think about it and we discuss it, the harder and harder writing a VxElan sequal seems to become. I just don't see any logical course of action that doesn't violate anyone's character... >.<


And no, if I just had Belkar's interaction with V, it wouldn't be VxBelkar. It was be more of Belkar forced into an awkward situation (finding V having an emo moment, or catching V scrying on Elan while writing poetry or some other "creative" activity) and his reactions and/or escape attempts... Really just more of an excercise in character interaction, more than crack-fickery. And yes, I just made up a verb for writing crack fics. I'm awesome like that.


It seems I have an easier time writing the silly little short crack-fics, rather than serious crack pairings and pieces...


Also, it appears I've had a rather prodigeous writing history since I returned. XD

An idea I thought of while I was reading your posts is that maybe V would try to break them up if she thought Elan didn't really care about Haley? She got very upset over the whole business with Therkla, and while I think V's probably mellowed to the point where she wouldn't want to make waves, she might still feel strongly enough to try and take action. Maybe even spin it as trying to protect Haley from a loveless relationship like she felt she subjected Kyrie to (from one perspective, at least). Then, of course, she would find herself actually falling for Elan... I'm sure I've read a middleschool romance story where something like that happened.

Admittedly though, it sounds like a much better opening for V/Haley than V/Elan.
