Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Adam Lars? Odd choice.
But I agree that Jim will roll a 1 in his attempt to shoot Han, then decide to take over Han's character afterwards. Sounds like something Jim would do.Thanks to Ceika (X2), Yeril, Holammer and Dr. Bath for the Avatars!

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Maybe Jim thinks it's a corruption of "Jaffa", as in "Jaffa cake" (a chocolate and orange jelly cookie popular in Europe at least (at least I've seen them on sale in Finland and Yogscast references them regularly)). Those are usually round though, I'm not certain where he's getting "triangular" from.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
I'm guessing it's another side-wise comment by the authors, about the dumbness of Luke going by his actual name when he was incognito and adopted specifically to protect him from his father. The GM is generally more clever and subtle than George Lucas, and likes springing surprise continuity on his players.
Either that or Adam being Luke will be an ad lib when Corey whines about wanting to play a Cheddar Monk, but I think the first is more likely.Spoiler

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
It's relatively easy for the players to figure out who Princess and Adam really are. At least for Annie. And Ben if he comes back. They both know who the Lars are, if nobody else payed attention, and I'm pretty sure they know where Leia ended up.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Annie was very good at working with the GM in secret and keeping her mouth shut about plot spoilers during the prequels. She's also probably the only one besides Ben who paid enough attention to remember who the Larses are - Corey absolutely doesn't know, and Jim and Sally probably aren't paying enough attention to care. Princess Leia's identity was clearly written into her backstory by Annie and cleared with the GM - whether she waits until the last second to reveal it like in canon remains to be seen.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
What every character is thinking about "Adam Lars", Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker.
Annie: "As the player of Anakin I am grateful that the GM so masterfully included his son in this campaign."
Sally: "Obviously Darth Vader is Anakin, and "Adam" is really his son Luke. Vader must turn at the end to save the galaxy"
Corry: "So, I (Luke), am Owen's son, and Darth Vader is the servant of the big bad Palpatine. Cool."
Ben (if he returns): "I of course know that "Adam" is Luke the son of Anakin. No idea who this Vader character is though."
Pete: "Wait, have we seen this Owen character before, he seems familiar. Anyway, Anakin is dead and we need to kill Darth Vader."
Jim: "I can't believe this Vader dude killed me. Who was Anakin again?"Last edited by Redgoblin; 2012-03-07 at 11:18 PM. Reason: spelling error

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Well obviously... unless it really is the absolutely improbable case of Annie not knowing about her secret heritage and Sally of all people filling Corry in in detail. That would be pretty weird... UNLESS Annie is good enough at player character seperation fpr Leia to not know what she knows. But that hasn't been such a big point in the comic thus far.
Also, I wouldn't put it too far beyond Jim to have some idea about the real situation. He's not Pete.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Anyone else wondering why we haven't heard one word from Annie for about half a session? I thought she'd be playing Owen for sure.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
She's still playing Leia, who isn't in this scene. It's possible she's late to the session or couldn't come at all, to explain why she doesn't appear very much until they get to the rescue.
It's hard to say. He's usually pretty oblivious, but occasionally...Avatar by GryffonDurime. Thanks!

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
In 696 she was introduced along with everyone else (except the GM (of course.)) And there was no reference made to her leaving early last session. It's not like being dead has stopped Jim from talking. I wonder if they just don't have any good pictures of her to use at this time.

Interesting, I'm getting a feeling like when Sally was introducted, both her and Corey had no idea of what they were doing at the begining. Hopefully, Corey will be just as fun as Sally is.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Hard to say, if the set of all titles is not compact, then there is no bestest title. I'm more curious about the second point on the regular in-comic world changes list and how will it look like, when we get the next bonus strip. I also only now noticed, that all those extra comics have acitve archives (just the strip names, but still).
In a war it doesn't matter who's right, only who's left.

The expression and posture that Bender/Jim had in panel 8 fit Jim's personality incredibly well. Can we just switch to making a webcomic like this now?

"Good news, everyone!" I love that they included that line.
I also just noticed that they didn't put in the "what if Futurama didn't exist" bit that they've put in all the other ones so far.Awesome fremetar by wxdruid.
