Re: Our Comic Lab in the Playground: An experimentation class
Hmm.
I've been trying to draw a fedora for something I've been working on. Here's what I have so far:
But it doesn't look quite...right. Anybody have any suggestions?

Re: Our Comic Lab in the Playground: An experimentation class
I was working quite a bit on my new comic, Peach's Castle: A Serious Fancomic On Serious GitP, and have quite a few things to show all of you. Some things improved from last time and some completely new.
Title page.

Comic 0
Spoiler
As you can see, this is a different style than the other comic. This is just to differentiate these "Goomba Journal" comics from the rest of the comics. These will tell the story of a young Goomba kid many, many years before this comic, or any of the Mario games, take place. They may not seem like they have anything to do with anything, but they will lead up to a huge twist later on in the story. A twist everybody will probably figure out way quicker then you're supposed to, but still...

Re: Our Comic Lab in the Playground: An experimentation class
Well, I think now it's usable for a comic.
Not to say there's no room for improvement. There's always room for imrovement.
I like the Goomba journals. I always like it when a story is told from what otherwise would be a faceless mook.

Re: Our Comic Lab in the Playground: An experimentation class
As said before, Darklord, amazing.
Okay, I have a problem. I was working on the kitty comic (Which shall be codenamed "Flow of Life") and I need to draw a female cat. Any idea how to do this?
Here's the template for a male cat.
Any idea how? And no, I am not going to add mammaries.

Also they should be slightly shorter. I think maybe slightly longer arms/legs/tail.

Re: Our Comic Lab in the Playground: An experimentation class
It's a very drastic shift that says more "Costume Change" than "Art Upgrade". Not that that's a bad thing, it just means she changed from her tattered black clothing to tattered red clothing.
Also, as somebody who uses filled in sleeves/arms and legs (Well, for clothing anyway), let me warn you, it's alot trickier to work with than lines. Not saying you shouldn't use it, just warning you that it can be time consuming to get it right, especially when you are showing somebody reaching across their body, or crossing their arms, or holding something in two hands.

Re: Our Comic Lab in the Playground: An experimentation class
Ok so right now i'm gauging interest in an idea for a Metroid Sprite Comic i'm gonna possibly be doing after WTwU (assuming I ever get done ). I don't have the details for a plotline but I plan on it to be much less serious than WTwU with way fewer overpowered characters and more humor driven.
So, thoughts?Dark Souls Remake in a Nutshell
Don't mess with a Primarch
Sometimes I make avatars too. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Re: Our Comic Lab in the Playground: An experimentation class
How 'bout taking place right after Fusion (Which is apparently at the end of the story)? Samus is running away from the GF, and lands on the ruins of an ancient civilization. (Maybe Chozo. Did they ever get to space?) There, stuff happensm and hilarity ensues.
Of course, someone already did the Metroid Fancomic thing, and it was pretty damn good. And it was scarily similar to Prime 3: Corruption. (It was started before they mentioned any information of it.)

Nice.. The third one kinds of creeps me out.. The feet feels wrong, you should try put them in front of the legs, and the right hand... I mean... how is she holding that sword?
I made this a while ago:

Re: Our Comic Lab in the Playground: An experimentation class
I would like to initiate a contest for my comic, Idiosyncrasy. Anyone who can develop a unique style uniform for a black op covert of the trogodytes shall recieve a cameo appearance in my comic in the future. They will, however, need to pm the character they want the cameo appearance with.
Contest will last until I need to use the uniform Black op Trogodytes. (So you guys have to guess when. Pretty much, when it seems that they are getting closer, that's when you guys need to step up.)
Hope to see you all compete.Last edited by Silverraptor; 2010-02-28 at 11:17 PM.
