Re: Bibliography
I am personally favoring [TiltITP] because everything is happening in Tiltstone, and that leaves room to add other types of characters if they show up.

Re: Bibliography
Chaining spells opens up a whole new level of Spellcasting. I'm guessing by Jackie's tone you have to be pretty powerful to do so, but Jacques is a leader of a gang.

Re: Bibliography
I suppose there will be a metamagical theory that explains you can't chain spells forever
(Got inspired: compare spells to words. Now, it does not take much genius to speak a word. However, it takes "greater insight" to chain words together into a new word, like cat and bob becoming bobcat. Sure, you can chain chain a chain, but this gets exponentially harder. This also applies to spells. You can use a spell, but it takes greater insight to chain a spell, although it is easier to chain related spells than unrelated spells. You can chain a chained spell, but only the greatest pages can do this.)
Of course, if you get into theory, the possibilities of spells increase exponentially too. Sure, you can anticipate a lensflash, but can you anticipate at the same time for a chain of lensflash and a ocular sword? (just giving an example)
Furthermore, working from this theory, you can't chain the same spells, like you can't create the word "catcat". You can, but it doesn't make sense (in English anyway). Therefore you can't chain a pumpkin grenade twice, amazing as it would be.

Re: Bibliography
You're right, missed that...
So, to adjust the theory, you could have basic words, but you can upgrade words: cat become cats, or dinner-to dine-to have dined. This way you can upgrade spells with variations: lensflash and lensflash array, and pumpkin grenade - hypothesized pumpkin cluster bomb.
However, for theory's sake, an upgraded spell is not the same as a chained spell.
Or did I miss something, and is lensflash array a different spell? In that case, forget this post.

I'm going out on a limb here and guessing Solomon specializes in Familiar Creation Spells.

Re: Bibliography
Anyone get the feeling that Jaques MIGHT be Inking?
And if he's not... DANG. He's young to have that much power...and control. Unless, of course, appearances are deceiving, and he has been around as long as the All Hallows Eve tradition.
