Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
The Matrix was the first violent movie I saw. I was ten... It was awesome.
It's actually a pretty interesting philosophical-based movie, as well, based on the theories/beliefs of Plato.
The other Pro to seeing the matrix is that you can actually understand the , many, many, many (x14) parodies. The artist formerly known as Tired N' Drowzy, master of puns.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
The first Matrix is damn near perfect. The second two movies are good action movies, but they're severely lacking in the substance that made the first one so great.
Personally, I like them all. But only the first one is a masterpiece.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
So does Elan.
Anything else you need to know? What he does was the only grey area, so if you need anything else I have him mostly mapped out.
And maybe Mechafox could play Doc. I can totally imagine Doc wearing a top hat and a spectacle. "That blue-wing stole my scones, what!" After all, Fox is AWESOME.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Wooh-hoo.
Oh, BTW, don't engage the spooks until I write up and post their capabilities. You can have them show up, or you can run from them or somthing, just don't attack them and hit or have them attack you.
Also, some random Colonel Xavik artwork.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
So, so the Spooks.
The Spooks were the result of some Machinist explorers getting their hands on old notes of Vadriks, he was experimenting in ways to make his weakest minions more powerful in a pinch. "Spooks" is a nickname given to them, technically they are "Induced Spectral Forms" of normal machinists who have received a special treatment. When they hear a certain word spoken in a certain way (It involves the Command Voice, I'll get into that later), they turn into a spectral form of abyssal shadow-stuff. In this form they are largely insubstantial, like smoke, so they are resistiant to damage (though with research, you can learn techniques to take them out without too much trouble, a strong gust of wind won't kill them, but it will disperse them long enough to keep them out of the fight). When they attack, their claws condense into a diamond-hard solid just before they connect, so they pack a nasty punch. Also, they have a sort of energy-sapping "Black Flame" they can put around their claws. This sacrifices raw damage for weakening enemies. Against strong foes, they usually sap their strength with black flames, then move in for the kill. One major upshot is that they cannot keep these forms for very long, especially if they take damage. If they get hit hard enough, they end up in a semi-physical state, between their physical forms and their spectral forms. In this form, they are very weak, and are often incapacitated. A little determination and anything with a magical aura can wipe them out in that form.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
I made a cover for TJH.
Sorry VampireRot, I'm making another one at the end of the episode anyway so I'll include Socks in the next one.
