Re: Bibliography II
They look good, though. Clean, legible, nice dramatic shading. Okay, the last panel is a bit cheap art-wise. But it works anyway.
If I had to criticize your art, I'd mention how panel 3 here could have been split in two (first "you're kidding me" with Ben's face, then just "ri-" and the scorch mark) to make the sequence of event clearer. Or the cheekmouth in panel 3 here (they're always a pet peeve of mine). But this latest page has nothing that bugs me.Hark! An avatar drawn by Kate Beaton!

Re: Bibliography II
More art of Tony's dad! Huzzah!
But such a sinister look in panel 3. That's foreshadowing if I ever saw it (in both the artistic and literary sense).
Yeah, the art still looks great to me. Fifty times better than any other webcomic that has existed for such a short period of time. I think that the more you struggle through the problems you have with it and experiment with the art the more you're going to grow as an artist. Or at least, that's what my artist friends tell me.Last edited by Yorrin; 2010-08-16 at 08:38 AM.

Re: Bibliography II
Yeah, Tony's dad might be kind of stern-looking, but I imagine him as the kind of guy who loves decorating his office space with all sorts of wacky knick-knacks and pictures of his family on vacation and all that jazz.
Word of God says he collects motivational posters.
I don't think I'll be taking a break after this chapter, since I already took quite a long one when I went on vacation, but I think I'll be doing more experimenting with the pages. Well, not like I haven't been experimenting a lot.

Re: Bibliography II
I didn't realize that the comic is ahead here from where its hosted, and I got confused about what people were talking about
anyway I just caught up, that last comic really pieces the story togetherLast edited by licoot; 2010-08-17 at 07:43 AM.

Re: Bibliography II
Friends
Since I felt a little down about my art, I decided to try and take it a step further. This was originally going to be a painting, but I'm terrible with paintings so I decided to do it with flat colours instead. I really like the colours I ended up using.

Re: Bibliography II
I wonder why Roy uses a blindfold while most all-seeing prefer dark sunglasses (Which are less conspicuous)?
Also, what is this artist-insecurity? Your art is great, as always.
